Our Story

Hue and Hiep Ha are a loving couple that grew up living humble lives in Nha Trang, Vietnam. When money became too scarce, they decided to love to the United States, in hopes of finding work. After some trial and error, the two finally settled into a small home, working mundane jobs. However, no matter hard their days were, Hue and Hiep always enjoyed home-cooking their meals and dining together, and soon they had two children, Long and Kim, to share this joy with.

All were happy until the children aged and became more interested in eating out with friends. Desperate to rebuild the close family ties that have come undone, Hue and Hiep created new recipes to share with their children. The whole family loved the new recipes and eventually started hosting occasional dinners with friends and family. Thankful for their parents, the kids convinced their parents to follow their passion for food and Vietnamese culture and open their restaurant. In honor of his kids, Hue named this new venture Kim Long.
